Jason Roy has been snubbed from England’s Twenty20 World Cup squad as the opener paid for his dismal run of form. Roy had a series of low scores for England throughout the summer and endured a lean patch in The Hundred as well, averaging 8.5 over six innings for Oval Invincibles with three ducks to his name. The 32-year-old had been an instrumental in Egland’s white-ball renaissance. Lancashire’s Phil Salt and Yorkshire’s Harry Brook were included in the 15-strong squad for the tournament in Australia, which starts in October.
Who are you most excited to see doing their thing? 🏏
