Naseem Shah denied a big wicket as Virat Kohli gets a reprieve

Pakistan's debutant for the game, the young Naseem Shah, consigned KL Rahul to a golden duck as he edged one onto his stumps first ball. He could have had Virat Kohli too immediately thereafter, if not for the dropped chance at second slip. The former India captain turned a corner quickly though, amidst a fiery start from the Pakistan pacers, with some confident pulls and a fortuitous top-edge for six that sailed over the 'keeper's head. India were slightly behind Pakistan's powerplay score, on 38/1, but what made Kohli's 34-ball 35 impactful was captain Rohit Sharma's woes at the other end.
