He could have had Virat Kohli too immediately thereafter, if not for the dropped chance at second slip. The former India captain turned a corner quickly though, amidst a fiery start from the Pakistan pacers, with some confident pulls and a fortuitous top-edge for six that sailed over the ‘keeper’s head. India were slightly behind Pakistan’s powerplay score, on 38/1, but what made Kohli’s 34-ball 35 impactful was captain Rohit Sharma’s woes at the other end.
