Watch James Anderson set up Dean Elgar to perfection

With two left-handers occupying the crease, Joe Root was given a couple of overs at the start of the day but it was James Anderson who toppled the opening domino, getting one to straighten to have Dean Elgar bowled. Ollie Robinson drew the outside edge of Sarel Erwee’s bat but the ball died in front of Zak Crawley who put in a dive but couldn’t hold on to the ball. Robinson, who was penetrative with his line and lengths, finally had his discipline rewarded when Erwee attempted to shoulder arms quite late and ended up edging the ball to the ‘keeper.
