Ollie Robinson will make his first appearance for England since the fifth Ashes Test in Hobart in January when he plays in the second Test against South Africa at Old Trafford on Thursday. A back spasm sustained there flared up at the start of the West Indies series, ruling him out of that tour and the four Tests at the onset of this summer against New Zealand and India. During his significant spell on the sidelines, Robinson also suffered a major dental issue and contracted Covid.
