Schedule is too cramped, no breathing space for players: Ben Stokes

England Test captain Ben Stokes has expressed his displeasure with the cramped cricket schedule that has been announced through the FTP 2023-27 release. England will play the highest number of Tests during this period – 22 – and also have series across formats overlapping each other. While the arrangement of two teams from the same nation playing simulatenously is beginning to become a norm for a few boards who have ample resources and a wide talent pool, Stokes was not at all amused and reckoned players just don't have time to rest their bodies.
