South Africa have taken control of the Lord’s Test after increasing their lead to 124 on Day 2 of the ongoing first Test against England. The hosts were bundled out for a meager 165 in the first innings, thanks to a five-wicket haul by Proteas pacer Kagiso Rabada.
In reply, the South African batters batted well to take their side to 289/7 at stumps with Marco Jansen and Rabada occupying the middle. However, Ben Stokes bowled his heart out in a fiery spell, featuring a spate of bouncers that helped him return three wickets, including the prized scalp of opener Sarel Erwee.
