Big-hitting Alex Hales leads Rockets to facile 25-run win

Alex Hales’s rollicking half-century, followed by Tabraiz Shamsi’s penny-pinching spell, helped Trent Rockets secure a facile 25-run win over Oval Invincibles at Trent Bridge on Wednesday. Hales cracked a 29-ball 59, including six fours and four mighty maximums, to help pave the way for Rockets’ fourth win in five matches.

Hales and Dawid Malan put on a solid opening stand, pushing Invincibles on the backfoot with their onslaught. Sam Curran was tonked for two fours and as many sixes. Hales brought up his half-century in just 22 balls before the opening stand was broken on 84 by Mohammad Hasnain.
