Trent Rockets have made light work of Manchester Original’s 179. Their in-form openers Alex Hales and Dawid Malan got them off to a flier as they brought up their team fifty off just 18 balls. Matthew Parkinson was greeted into the attack with a six but he provided the breakthrough by dismissing Hales and thereby cutting short the 85-run opening stand. The hosts, however, couldn’t apply the brakes post that dismissal as Malan hit boundaries for fun to rack up a 23-ball fifty. He missed out on a ton by two runs but ensured that his team crossed the line with 6 balls to go.
