Jordan Thompson returned the best Hundred bowling figures of the season as London Spirit prevailed against Manchester Originals by 52 runs to bag their second successive win and go top of the table. The most eye-catching dismissal in the 162-run chase was that of Andre Russell, who was run out at the bowler’s end by Liam Dawson’s direct hit from point. Phil Salt (36 from 34) did his best to hold Originals’ innings together but his efforts didn’t bear fruit.
