World champions Australia defeated India by nine runs in a thriller to win the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games on Sunday. For India, Renuka Singh and Sneh Rana shared four wickets between them but it was livewire Radha Yadav who dazzled with her fielding at the Edgbaston stadium. Yadav effected a witty through-the-legs run-out off her own bowling and then grabbed a smart diving catch at backward point to get rid of Tahlia Mcgrath. She was quick to intercept the ball and flick an underarm throw backwards to catch Lanning off guard.
