India have snapped the knockout jinx. Tantalizingly close on three occasions in recent ICC tournaments, Harmanpreet Kaur’s girls have finally overcome that frontier. They did advance to T20 World Cup 2020 final but that was thanks to a semifinal being washed out. Coming to the game, it was a contest fitting of a semifinal with twists and turns aplenty. At the end of it all, it’s India who held their nerves to go through to the title bout. A couple of run outs opened the gates for India who kept the squeeze on, and refused to bog down even when runs came thick and fast.
