Nathan Ellis and Jordan Thompson’s PowerPlay exploits helped London Spirit secure a three-run win over Oval Invincibles at the Kennington Oval on Thursday. Australian quick Ellis and Thompson blew the Invincibles’ top-order to smithereens before Hilton Cartwright and Jordan Cox revived the home side with a stand of 74. Danny Briggs (29 off 11 balls) almost pulled off the unlikeliest of wins for Invincibles, but Thompson kept his cool to hand London Spirit victory.
