Heather Knight missed England’s opening match of the Commonwealth Games, against Sri Lanka on Saturday, due to a hip injury. Knight, the England captain, sustained the injury during the first T20I against South Africa on July 21 and was subsequently ruled out of the remaining two matches of that series, which her side won despite her absence.
While Knight unfortunately missed out on action, Katherine Brunt received her 100th T20I cap from Isa Guha. Brunt is an all-time great for England Women in the limited-overs.
In career spanning over 17 years, she has been the go-to bowler in clutch moments.
100 games of giving it everything. ❤️
