207 might look like a strong lot on most days, certainly on a pitch which isn’t quite a featherbed but England have pulled things back nicely at the death. Chris Jordan, with one pacy yorker after another, and Sam Curran, with some change-ups, were clinical in inflicting the slight strangehold at the death. Reece Topley was pretty good too. The star turn for South Africa was provided by Rilee Rossouw, who came back from a Kolpak deal after losing six years of his South African cricket career, and produced a gem of a knock. His innings was as smart as this catch on the boundary line from Jonny Bairstow.
