India achieve 12th consecutive series win over West Indies

India added a feather to their cap on Sunday after they clinched a 12th consecutive series win in ODIs against the West Indies. The two-wicket win on Sunday was largely down to Axar Patel’s heroics with the bat as he helped India pull off a tight chase with an unbeaten 64.

Shubman Gill and Yuzvendra Chahal contributed to the cause as India thrashed West Indies by 119 runs to clean-sweep the ODI series 3-0. It was the Carribean side’s 9 consecutive loss in the format. The last time West Indies upstaged India in an ODI bilateral series was in 2006 under Brian Lara.
