Sri Lanka sitting pretty after lead creeps up to 323

Sri Lanka built on their their lead to push the figure to 323 at the end of third day’s play of the second Test, at the Galle International Stadium. The hosts didn’t make a great fist of things in the second innings, after bundling out Pakistan earlier on Tuesday for 231, but did decently instead to go to stumps at 176 for 5 as poor light forced a premature end to the day’s play.

Brief Scores: Sri Lanka 378 (Dinesh Chandimal 80, Niroshan Dickwella 51; Naseem Shah 3-58, Yasir Shah 3-83) & 176/5 (Angelo Mathews 35, Dhananjaya de Silva 30*; Naseem Shah 2-29) lead Pakistan 231 (Agha Salman 62, Imam ul Haq 32; Ramesh Mendis 5-47, Prabath jayasuriya 3-80) by 323 runs
