Independent review finds Cricket Scotland institutionally racist

An independent review has found Cricket Scotland to be institutionally racist as an organization, and recommended them to be placed in special measures by Sportscotland, Scotland’s national agency for sport. The probe, carried out by Plan4Sport, found that the governing body couldn’t pass muster in 29 out of the 31 indicators of institutional racism, as reported by Cricbuzz. In total, 448 examples of institutional racism were listed in the review, which in turn was commissioned after 30 allegations of racism were levelled by Majid Haq and Qasim Sheikh among others starting November 2021.
