Axar Patel’s blistering fifty gets India over the line in tight chase

Axar Patel’s maiden ODI fifty, a scorching 64* off 35 – laced with 3 fours and 5 sixes – helped India get over the line in a run-fest at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad. India gunned down 312 with two deliveries to spare.

Opting to bat, West Indies posted a stiff total thanks to Shai Hope’s 115 in his 100th ODI appearance, along with skipper Nicholas Pooran’s equally important 74.
