The quick wickets in the middle phase meant that Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran had to choose their shots wisely. But some loose bowling allowed Hope to break free while Pooran struck a couple of lusty blows. The pair rotated the strike well to help West Indies to 200 in the 38th over. In the very next over, Pooran struck two sixes off Yuzvendra Chahal en route to a 60-ball half-century and continued to make hay against favourable match-ups. The century stand was brought up off 115 deliveries but Pooran fell in his quest for quick runs, becoming Shardul Thakur's first wicket.
