Axar Patel was bought back in the 22nd over by Shikhar Dhawan and the move worked like a charm for India as he found the outside edge of Shamarh Brooks’s bat with a quicker delivery and Shikhar Dhawan took a good catch at slip. The captain grabbed another, this time off Chahal’s bowling, when Brandon King got a top edge and fell for a duck.
The quick wickets meant that Shai Hope, playing his 100th ODI, and Nicholas Pooran had to show some restraint and choose their shots astutely. But some loose bowling allowed Hope to garner a few boundaries while Pooran struck a couple of sixes.
