South Africa lose wickets in a jiffy as England draw level

In a rain-affected clash in Manchester, England beat South Africa by a hefty 118 runs in the second ODI and leveled the series in emphatic fashion. Chasing 202, South Africa were shot out for 83 – their worst ODI total against England.

After rain delayed the toss and pruned the match to 29 overs per side, South Africa had done decently to keep England to 201 all out. But come their turn, the visitors crumbled in what should have been a manageable chase. Such was the turn of events that England were in with a shout to bundle out South Africa well inside the 20-over mark, the milestone that had to be breached in order to constitute a game as the drizzle made its way back at Old Trafford.
