Joe Root’s reverse paddle off Neil Wagner and later Shardul Thakur left the cricketing fraternity in awe. A local batter tried to replicate the shot in the nets, but it didn’t go as expected. He got into the position for the reverse scoop but couldn’t maintain his balance and tripped over the stumps. The bowler and the other people watching the net session couldn’t help but laugh their heart out at the batter’s antics. After all, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to pull off such an unorthodox cricket stroke.
