It’s a good reality check, feels losing captain Pat Cummins

Australia captain Pat Cummins has said that his team, which suffered a batting implosion to gow down by an innings in Galle, have learned a lot from the Sri Lankan assignment and will apply those learnings on the Indian tour next year. The visitors astonishingly lost nine wickets against Sri Lanka in a single session on Day 4, conceding an opportunity to win a series in the island. The Australians dominated the first Test and clinched a 1-0 lead comfortably before settling for a 1-1 draw in the end.

β€œI think half our batting lineup and half our bowling lineup has not played a lot over here in the subcontinent. So the experience on these two vastly different wickets. I think we got a lot of lessons out of it to take to India next year,” Cummins said.
