Ben Stokes wiped out the Indian tail by picking up his third wicket of the session – and fourth overall – as Jasprit Bumrah fell while attempting a second hook shot off a short ball. With that, India’s innings concluded on 245 – their lead up to 377. India would’ve liked that number to breach the 400-run mark but they still hold the edge in the Edgbaston Test at this point. Earlier, Pant became the second Indian keeper-bat to score a century and a half-century in the same Test after Farookh Engineer.
