Bumrah reduces England to 60/3 as rain keeps playing spoilsport

The day so far has belonged well and truly to India. Interspersed between the rain interruptions was some thrilling action. Ravindra Jadeja got to his first overseas century, and Jasprit Bumrah – of all people – smashed Stuart Broad for the most-expensive over in the history of Test cricket. India’s tail wagged around a great deal to take them past 400, and then Bumrah – the bowler – struck thrice. England’s top-order worries continued. England have been reduced to 60/3. Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow have strung together a decent recovery, but on occasions they’ve found it hard to cope with India’s discipline.
