Rishabh Pant the maverick brings up an 89-ball hundred

A spirited partnership between Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja helped India keep the wheels from veering after they were reduced to 98/5 against England in the postponed fifth Test match at Edgbaston. The left-handed duo added 76 runs off just 97 balls to guide the visitors to 174/5 by the tea break. The boundaries have gradually started flowing with the highlight being Pant’s no-holds-barred assault on Leach where he smashed 14 runs off 3 deliveries against the left-arm spinner. Pant notched up his second Test century on English soil after the interval. From India’s perspective, it has been a knock worth its weight in gold.
