Boult, Williamson combine to run out Alex Lees

The hosts are clearly favourites now as they end another day in the ascendancy in the third Test match. There must have been a bit of anxiety in the camp when both the openers were sent packing but Joe Root and Ollie Pope allayed those jitters with a superb partnership. England now need only 147 with 8 wickets in hand.

Earlier, England lost their opening wicket in Alex Lees to a run out. Zac Crawley drove one to the left of mid off but Kane Williamson stopped the ball and handed it over to the bowler. Crawley was ball watching after taking one step whereas Lees was halfway down the track and thus couldn’t make it back in time.
