England struggle to dislodge Mitchell, Blundell again

It’s been the recurring theme of the series so far. England may have already won this series but they have repeatedly failed to dislodge the alliance between Darly Mitchell and Tom Blundell. The two lower-middle order batsmen have forged three century stands in this series and are on the brink of doing it for the fourth occasion as New Zealand slowly claw back into the Headingley Test. By lunch on Day 4, the visitors had pushed their lead to 223. It’s quite astonishing that England have allowed this pair to throw a wrench in their plans time and again this series.
