Ishan Kishan slog sweeps Keshav Maharaj for consecutive sixes

The deciding fifth and final T20I between India and South Africa was washed out and the series spoils shared as Bengaluru’s monsoon rains did not permit play. Only 3.3 overs of action was possible before players were taken off the field for the second time. In the short period of action that was possible before the rain set in, stand-in Proteas captain Keshav Maharaj boldly brought himself on against a left-hander and was slog-swept for a pair of sixes by Ishan Kishan in a 16-run first over. Kishan though couldn’t survive the PowerPlay for the first time this series as he was undone by a well-disguised slower ball from Lungi Ngidi.
