Netherlands will definitely feel that they’ve left some runs out there given how well Scott Edwards, Bas de Leede and Teja Nidanamuru had batted, particularly the stand-in skipper. His fluent fifty and the stand with Nidanamuru had set things up nicely for a total in excess of 250 and they should ideally have reached there. But some smart bowling from England pegged the hosts back at the death. It didn’t help that Logan van Beek took forever to get going, dawdling around before unleashing a few big hits at the very end. 235/7 is a respectable score, albeit a below-par one.
