(Video) Phil Salt racks up his maiden international century

Phil Salt scored his maiden ODI century as England find themselves in a commanding position against Netherlands in the ongoing first ODI of the three-match series at VRA Ground in Amstelveen. Salt departed for 112, having clobbered 14 boundaries and three sixes during his fast-paced knock. He looked to use the width on a slower short ball from Logan van Beek and ended up slicing it off the toe-end on the attempted cut on the off-side.

Earlier, Netherlands skipper Pieter Seelaar won the toss and elected to bowl first against Eoin Morgan’s troops. With England having amassed 400/2 with six overs to go, it’s safe to say the Dutch attack couldn’t vindicate his decision.
