Sri Lanka could only manage 220 off 47 overs before rain interrupted play at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Their total was adjusted using the DLS method and Australia were asked to chase 216 in 43 overs. They currently need 59 runs from 67 balls with half of the side back in the hut. Travis Head, who was called up from the A squad as a last-minute replacement, couldn't execute the lost as he desired and fell prey to Dunit Wellalage. At present, Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey are occupying the crease for the visitors.
