Queensland spinner Matt Kuhnemann made his debut for Australia in the Second ODI against Sri Lanka, after Ashton Agar and Marcus Stoinis were ruled out with injury. He was in action on Day 3 of Australia A vs Sri Lanka A, but the couple of injuries in the Australian camp meant Kuhnemann and Travis Head had to be flown to Pallekele by helicopter to play. Kuhnemann opened the bowling in his first ever match for Australia, bagged a wicket in his 3rd over, and has now taken a catch. Safe to say, he’s made a splash so far on what was a rather fortuitous international debut.
A moment Matthew Kuhnemann will never forget!
