A blistering hundred from Jonny Bairstow left New Zealand gasping for breath in the post-Tea session on Day 5 of the second Test as England hunted down a target of 299 with plenty of time to spare and clinched the series 2-0 with a game to go. Bairstow cruised to a 77-ball ton – the second fastest by an England cricketer in Tests after GL Jessop's 76-ball century against Australia in 1902 – as the crowd at Trent Bridge, which was allowed free entry into the stadium today, was kept in constant thrall. Watch the winning shot that gave England an unassailable lead.
