The sixes kept coming off Jonny Bairstow's willow as he struck two more off Trent Boult to extend the potentially match-winning partnership with Ben Stokes past 100. The swashbuckling right-handee has hit New Zealand like a tornado at Trent Bridge. It was back of a length just outside off and Bairstow punched through backward point to bring up three figures. The arms went up as he ran cross, and he got back for the third before removing the helmet, jumping up and punching the air in delight. England now need just 50 runs to win the second Test and gain a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
