Trent Boult brought about the end of the massive 187-run partnership for the third wicket between Joe Root and Ollie Pope as the latter fell five short of 150. Pope tried to pull a Boult delivery but got a top edge and was caught by Matt Henry at fine leg. England are 334/3. Pope made the walk back to the Trentbridge pavilion with the crowd on their feet, applauding the scintialling knock from the young lad. Boult, in fact, got one to swing back into Jonny Bairstow who appears to be beaten on the inside edge and has to depart LBW for 8.
