(Video) Team-man Joe Root overjoyed as Ollie Pope notches up three figures

A heedless throw from Michael Bracewell gave the well-set Ollie Pope four extra runs in the first over after Lunch. Root played the off-drive with aplomb for a four in the same over off Matt Henry while Pope scored a boundary apiece off Trent Boult and Henry, flicking and cutting majestically, before pushing one wide of cover for a couple to bring up his second Test hundred. Root, who was as happy as Pope himself when the youngster attained his hundred, got to his fifty by flicking a Henry delivery for a four. England are sitting pretty at 226/2.
