(Video) Watch Stuart Broad’s athletic pick-up-and-throw in one motion

Brendon McCullum, the current England coach, was a livewire in the field. And one can expect him to push his charges to enchance their groundwork. While England’s slip catching was quite good in the series opener at Lord’s, with Jonny Bairstow catching everything that came his way, Stuart Broad produced an exceptional piece of athleticism in the opening hour at Nottingham.

The tall quick bolted out of his blocks from mid-on as Will Young and Tom Latham scampered for a single, with the pick-up and throw in one motion missing the stumps at the non-striker’s end by a whisker. Young would have been home anyway but it was a great effort from Broad, nonetheless.
