Things seemed to have turned from bad to worse for England when skipper Ben Stokes dragged one again onto his stumps. However, as he walked off, the umpire deemed the delivery a no ball leading to Stokes returning amidst huge cheers. New Zealand were ecstatitc with Stokes chopping on as his dismissal meant another recognized batter who could bring the chase back on track was back in the shed. But it was not meant to be as de Grandhomme committed the cardinal sin and handed the England captain a reprieve on a personal score of just 1 run.
