England used the short ball ploy but New Zealand have got some quick runs. This brilliant partnership between Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell is worth 150 now and looking strong. England would badly want a wicket or two before the second new ball.
The capacity crowd at Lord’s clapped as both the batters reached their fifty landmark. They are now sighting their respective tons and England need to break the partnership as soon as possible.
