England eventually lost a wicket against New Zealand on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test at Lord’s. Zak Crawley and Alex Lees provided England a promising start before Kyle Jamieson dismissed the opener to halt their progress. Crawley fell seven shy of a fifty; his knock consisted of seven delightful boundaries. Earlier, James Anderson and debutant Matthew Potts took four wicket each as England bowled out New Zealand for a measly 132. Colin de Grandhomme top-scored with a fighting 42 not out but it was overall a pretty ordinary batting performance from the visitors.
