Jack Leach suffered a concussion whilst fielding in the series-opening Test against New Zealand at Lord's in London. As per concussion guidelines, he has been withdrawn from this Test.
A statement from England Cricket read: Jack Leach has symptoms of concussion following his head injury whilst fielding. As per concussion guidelines, he has been withdrawn from this Test. We will confirm a concussion replacement in due course.
Leach fell akwardly while trying to protect a boundary in the first hour of the morning session and looked in severe discomfort. England have named Matt Parkinson as a concussion substitute for the injured Leach, as per Daily Mail.
