Back in the England squad after facing a snub for the tour of West Indies, James Anderson has drawn first blood for the hosts in the first Test versus New Zealand at Lord’s. Plenty of credit for the dismissal goes to Jonny Bairstow as well as he instinctively dived to his left at third slip to snare a one-handed stunner that signalled the departure of Will Young. Crawley at second slip was also going for the catch but Bairstow was unfazed, taking a blinder to jolt the Kiwis early. Now it’s upto Kane Williamson to vindicate his decision to bat first.
