(Photo) Chandimal, Dickwella steer Sri Lanka to safer shores

The 44-run stand between Dinesh Chandimal and Niroshan Dickwella has taken the sting out of the first Test in Chattogram. The duo has batted sensibly to steer Sri Lanka to safer shores. Earlier, two wickets fell in the second session, of Karunaratne and Dhananjaya de Silva. Both perished playing aggressive shots and Bangladesh were smelling an unlikely win at that stage but Dickwella and Chandimal have defended the good ones and kept the scoreboard going when there was an opportunity. A minimum of 34 overs are still left and Sri Lanka lead by 137 with 4 wickets in hand.
