Kane Williamson will leave the IPL bubble to travel back to New Zealand for the impending birth of his second child, Sunrisers Hyderabad stated on Wednesday, May 18. As a result, the skipper will miss the franchise’s final league fixture against Punjab Kings on May 22.
In his absence, Sunrisers Hyderabad have the likes of Bhunveshwar Kumar, Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram to lead the troops. While Bhuvneshwar has captained SRH in the past, Pooran was recently named West Indies’ limited-overs captain following Kieron Pollard’s retirement.
