Matthew Mott has been appointed the head coach of England men’s white-ball teams on Wednesday, May 18. The former Australia Women’s head coach – who was in charge when the side lifted both white-ball World Cups in 2020 and 2022 – has signed a four-year agreement and is expected to be at the helm for England’s three-match ODI series against the Netherlands in Amsterdam next month.

The ECB’s selection panel comprising of CEO Tom Harrison, MD of England’s Men’s Cricket Rob Key, Strategic Adviser Andrew Strauss and Performance Director Mo Bobat unanimously agreed on the decision to appoint Mott, 48, following a competitive interview process.
