Kolkata Knight Riders’ pacer Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2022 with a minor hip injury. Cummins was diagnosed after KKR’s last match, the nature of injury being such that his rehab period wouldn’t have allowed him to feature in any more games for KKR this season.
Cummins has already left the team bubble for Sydney, where he will recover ahead of Australia’s tour of Sri Lanka. That he’s already been rested from the T20I series that marks the beginning of the full SL tour, should give him ample time to regain full fitness.
