Bangladesh’s star all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has been ruled out from the opener of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka after returning a positive test for COVID-19. Shakib returned from the USA on Monday, May 9, and was meant to link up with the national team in Chattogram today. Although, after testing positive twice, Shakib was sent home and into isolation. As per the COVID protocol, he will have to remain in isolation for the next five days. The all-rounder had earlier missed the New Zealand Test series due to personal reasons.
