After a long while, Delhi Capitals had the kind of performance that they had been desperate for all season. Their victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad was reliant on a superb batting performance that helped them move up to the fifth spot in the IPL 2022 points table. A 122-run stand off 66 balls between David Warner and Rovman Powell after a flourishing cameo from skipper Rishabh Pant allowed Delhi Capitals to post a mammoth 207, which proved to be beyond Sunrisers Hyderabad’s reach.
“I think there is always room to improve but this is as close to the perfect performance as a batting group, yes,” Rishabh Pant reflected at the post match presentation.
Century stand 👌
