Batting all-rounder Michael Bracewell has been handed his maiden call-up to New Zealand’s Test squad for their forthcoming three-Test tour of England. Bracewell scored 725 and 190 runs in 2020-21 and 2021-22 first-class seasons respectively. He can also roll his arm over for some useful off-spin, and has already played three ODIs for his country. Hamish Rutherford, who smacked a hundred on his Test debut against England back in 2013 in Dunedin, has also been picked.
With the 5 players at the IPL unlikely to be available for the warm-up matches at Hove and Chlemsford, the initial squad of 20 will be reduced to 15 ahead of the 3 Tests against @englandcricket, the 1st of which begins at Lord’s on June 2.
